The African markets have 1 Billion people spread across 52 countries. The continent hosts the world’s fastest growing middle class, currently around 34% of the population. And by 2100, Africa will be home to nearly 40% of the world’s population, up from 15% today.  

Use of smartphones is growing, with nearly 1/3 of sub-Saharan Africa now having access to a smartphone, up from 10-15% just 5 years ago.  

Our portfolio companies create digital products for the most popular uses of the internet in sub-saharan Africa - sharing sports, music, and film content.

In just 4 years, we have captured this opportunity, distributing gaming products to millions of consumers across 7 markets - using simple and compelling experiences that are organically shared and adopted.
